Jeff Ferguson – CEO

Jeff Ferguson is the CEO and Lead Consultant of Fang Digital Marketing. With almost 20 years of online marketing experience, Jeff has led the online marketing efforts for companies such as Hilton Hotels, Kimberly-Clark, InterActiveCorp, Experian, Napster, and Local.com. Jeff has also served as a consultant for renowned clients such as American Airlines, Belkin, CBS Local, eHarmony, Farmers Insurance, Hilton Hotels, JustFab, KinderCare, Paychex, PetSmart, Prestige Brands, Pulmuone, The Smithsonian, Sony, and Toyota.

Recently honored as one of PPC Hero’s “Top 25 Most Influential PPC Experts,” Jeff Ferguson is no stranger to the industry speaking circuits throughout the US, Europe, and Asia. Jeff is a regular presenter at Ad:tech, AllFacebook Expo, Search Marketing Expo (SMX), Digital Hollywood, Online Marketing Summit (OMS), Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and Search Engine Strategies (SES), where he also served as a member of the advisory board. Additionally, Jeff has volunteered his time for the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) on both the national and regional levels, where he serves as a board member of the Los Angeles chapter.

Martin Thomas – Media Director and VP

Martin Thomas brings expertise in consumer, government, and trade planning to the team. Martin oversees the media plan development for all clients. Martin began his media career at Foote, Cone & Belding in Los Angeles, working on Mattel, California Milk Advisory Board, MGM Studios, Giorgio Perfume, and the Las Vegas Hilton. In 1993, Martin moved to DMB&B where he strengthened his retail and local market planning skills on Baskin-Robbins and the Australian Tourist Commission. On Baskin-Robbins, he worked with local marketing managers to develop plans for over 75 markets. He managed the media programs for Baskin-Robbins for four years before moving to MediaCom in 1997, where he ran a large group of businesses, including Roman Meal (bread), Hasbro, Pedigree Food for Dogs, Southern California Edison, the Automobile Club of Southern California, and City National Bank.

After MediaCom, Martin went to Universal McCann, building a team to handle a wide variety of local, national, and trade-based clients including Zicam Cold Remedy, Sun-Maid Raisins, Bumble Bee Foods, IHOP, Northrop Grumman, and Embraer.

Martin’s planning experience includes proficiency in all types of traditional media, as well as digital, guerilla, direct, and in-store media efforts.

 

Rebekah Paul – Director of Digital Media

Rebekah Paul began her career in advertising as a Sales Assistant at Ziff-Davis Publishing in 1993, where she worked for six years with seven technology-related publications, including Computer Shopper, Windows Sources and MacWEEK. With that experience, she left Ziff-Davis to rise in marketing within several different industries, including Software-as-a-Service (iSearch), investing/finance (SSI), market research (C.A. Walker), as an entrepreneur (DigitalHive.buzz), and most recently for a hardware manufacturer (Emcore). Rebekah got back into advertising at AOL, where she managed over $6 million in online ad revenue for accounts such as Hilton, by building media plans and troubleshooting campaigns. Through these varied experiences, Rebekah gained a broad range of marketing operations experience to be able to understand and serve the needs of marketers within both service and manufacturing companies. The thread that runs through all of her past positions is her love of high-tech and companies that are on the leading edge within their fields. Rebekah is personally involved with the development of client media plans, from planning to implementation to reporting. Her strengths are as a visionary, capable of assessing a situation and seeing possibilities that others don’t see; as a researcher, gathering data to develop insights and make better business decisions; and also as an educator, to gather and exchange knowledge to achieve business objectives.

 

Michael Messinger- Director of Marketing

Mike has been in the digital marketing space since 2009 when he switched gears from the finance world and began working in the affiliate space specializing in Adwords, Facebook Ads and Social Media. Running many innovative campaigns and driving a large volume of traffic with clients like Live Nation and Plenty of Fish. From there, Mike expanded his scope to include Paid Search, SEO, and Programmatic. Having much success with clients ranging from Jacuzzi Baths, UCSD Health, Moet, Eliptigo and more. Mike loves what he does, being able to utilize both his creative and analytical skills, as well as continuing to learn, evolve and connect with others.

 

 

Dylan Barmmer – Wordsmith

With 15 years of experience as a professional writer, Dylan has crafted memorable and award-winning work in web, print, television, radio, promotional, social and other media for an array of agencies and brands – both BIG and small alike. He added writing Google AdWords and Facebook ads to his repertoire in 2010, and joined forces with Fang in 2012.

In addition to his ad writing acumen, Dylan has been published extensively as a sportswriter, blogger and poet. When he’s not playing with words for pay, Dylan can often be found playing with words for free.

 

 

 

Cheryl Browne – Creative & Development

Cheryl began her career in print advertising, briefly provided tech support for the prepress industry, then transitioned back into a creative role – shifting her focus to interactive media with Fang. Over the years, Cheryl has worked with a large variety of clients, including Infiniti USA, GM, Jaguar USA, Universal Music Group, Crush Music Management, Telecom New Zealand, Toyota New Zealand and many more.
